Welcome to Weathering Cancer's Storm

For overwhelmed parents of children who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Local Story. Global Mission. As seen in the Banbury Guardian.

The Book

A real, raw, and practical guide for parents navigating the unimaginable storm of watching their child fight cancer.
Part memoir, part handbook - this is the book I wish someone had handed me when my son was diagnosed. Because no one tells you that the journey is more than being strong.

This book is a rare and compassionate guide for parents facing one of life's most unimaginable challenges. Claire has written with clarity, empathy, and lived understanding, Weathering the Storm gently leads readers through the emotional and practical realities of childhood cancer. It's reassuring, it's practical, in places it's lighthearted, but it's never overwhelming. Each chapter feels like a calm voice in the dark, honest about the fears, but never losing sight of hope. the balance of medical insight and emotional support is handled with great care.A deeply human book that deserves to be widely shared and read. For any parents beginning this journey, it truly is a lighthouse.Andrew, Reader Review

About Claire Pepper

Hi,
When my son was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer two and a half years ago, my family and I suddenly had to navigate an alien territory with no map. It's scary, unpredictable, and isolating.
So I wrote a book, determined to help as many other parents and children fighting an unimaginably hard battle from feeling the way I did.
My aim is for the book to act like a friend who is ready with a supportive word, the podcast to be a friendly voice for those moments where you are trying not to fall apart in front of your child, and the YouTube channel to be a friendly face when you are tired of holding the line day in, day out with no one there to hold the weight so you can breathe. You are doing better than you think -
and you aren't alone. Not any more.
Claire
xx
